How to claim a Kerala lottery prize
Kerala prizes are paid by the Directorate of Kerala State Lotteries and by the agents it licenses. You have 90 days from the draw to surrender the ticket. Where you take it depends on how much it won.
| Prize | Where to claim | Days | What to bring |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to ₹5,000 | Any authorised lottery agent, on the spot. | 90 |
|
| ₹5,001 to ₹1,00,000 | The District Lottery Office of any district in Kerala. | 90 |
|
| ₹1,00,001 and above | The Directorate of State Lotteries, Vikas Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram, or through a nationalised bank. | 90 |

The deadline
90 days from the date of the draw, counted from the draw date printed on the ticket and on the result sheet. After that the prize lapses and there is no appeal.
Treat this as a guide and not as the last word. The Kerala result sheet itself has stated 90 days, while a number of websites say 30; the two do not agree, and the rule can change. Read the wording printed on the official PDF for your own draw, and claim as early as you can rather than near whichever deadline turns out to apply.
Tax
31.2% is deducted at source from any prize above ₹10,000, on the whole prize rather than on the part above the threshold. A prize of exactly ₹10,000 is paid in full. The paying office deducts it before you are paid and should give you a certificate for it.
The main claim page explains this with an example. It is not tax advice.
Check the official document first
Before you travel anywhere, read the official result PDF or the Government Gazette notification for that draw. A result on this site is published for reference and is not proof of a win. If the official document disagrees with us, the official document is right.

No Directorate telephones or messages a winner, and nobody legitimate asks for a fee to release a prize. What a lottery scam looks like
