Where our results come from

Every number here starts with a State Lottery Directorate. We do not run draws. We read what is published, from more than one place, and we say which document a page rests on.

The verification rule

A result is normally published only once two readings that do not come from the same place agree with each other, digit for digit, across every prize tier both of them carry. The exception is the official document itself — a signed Directorate PDF or a state gazette scan — which is published on its own, because there is nothing more authoritative to wait for.

If two readings disagree, publication is blocked. The draw page says the result is being checked and shows nothing rather than showing a number that might be wrong. A disagreement is never averaged, guessed at or resolved by picking the source that arrived first.

The official document settles it. For Kerala that is the signed PDF, for Dear it is the state gazette scan. When one of those disagrees with anything else, the official document wins and the page is corrected.

Until the official document has been read, a result is marked as being confirmed. That label is not decoration. It means two publishers agree but the Directorate has not yet put its name to the sheet.

Kerala

SourceRoleUsually available
The signed result PDF at result.keralalotteries.comThe digitally signed sheet published by the Directorate of Kerala State Lotteries. This is the document a prize is paid against, and it is what we link from every Kerala draw page.Official verificationAbout 95 minutes after the 3 PM draw
The LOTIS mirror at lotteryagent.kerala.gov.inThe same PDF served from a second government host. Used when the first host is unreachable, which happens often enough to matter.Official, mirrorSame time as above
keralalotteries.netAn independent publisher that prints all nine prize tiers, usually well before the PDF is signed.SecondaryAbout 60 minutes after the draw
keralalotteryresults.inA second independent publisher, read so that an early result rests on two readings rather than one.SecondaryAbout 60 minutes after the draw
OnmanoramaA national newspaper. Used to break a tie when the two publishers disagree.PrimaryFirst prize within minutes, the full sheet later

Dear: Nagaland and Sikkim

SourceRoleUsually available
The distributor result sheet at dearlottery.inThe PDF the distributor uploads for each slot. It is the fastest complete document for the 1 PM, 6 PM and 8 PM draws and carries the draw number, the prize amounts and the seller amounts.PrimaryAbout 9 minutes after the draw
The Lottery Sambad siteThe newspaper that prints the Dear results publishes the same draw as text on its own site. Read independently so a Dear result does not rest on one publisher.Primary, second readingWithin about 10 minutes
The Nagaland and Sikkim gazette scansScanned notifications at nagalandlotteries.com and sikkimlotteries.com. These are the state documents. Where a gazette scan differs from the distributor sheet, the gazette is right and we correct the page.Official verificationLater the same evening

The live reading

Both families of draw are streamed. While a draw is running we read the numbers off the stream, and a number goes on the page only when two separate frames show the same thing. A number read this way is still treated as one reading. It has to be matched by a published document before the result stops being marked as being confirmed.

If a draw is postponed, no stream starts and no publisher prints anything. We leave the draw scheduled and say a notice is awaited rather than declaring that no draw took place.

We read these sources politely: at most one request every thirty seconds during a draw window and one an hour outside it, with a browser identity that carries a contact address. Every PDF we read is kept, so a page from years ago can still be traced back to the document it came from.

None of this makes a page on this site official. Only a Directorate can publish an official result. Before you claim a prize, check the official PDF or the Gazette yourself.
