Dhanalekshmi prizes
A Dhanalekshmi ticket costs ₹50. Dhanalekshmi is drawn every Wednesday at 3 PM Indian Standard Time.
How a ticket is written
Two letters and six digits, like DS 685763. The first letter is always D for Dhanalekshmi; the second is the series. Twelve series are sold for each draw, from one of two alternating blocks, so half of all well-formed tickets cannot belong to any given draw.
Series in block one: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K, L, M. Block two: N, O, P, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z. The letters I and Q are never printed.

The deduction applies to the whole prize, not only the part above the threshold, so a prize of exactly ₹10,000 is paid in full and one rupee more is taxed on all of it.
